Silent Hill is a highly acclaimed series that I unfortunately never got into during its heyday. Resident Evil is widely considered the catalyst for horror video games as a whole, and Silent Hill came shortly after it, capitalizing on the popularity of such a new genre. Perhaps Silent Hill didn't speak to me because it focused more on the supernatural, unlike the biological hazards that were the basis of Resident Evil. With Resident Evil, you never knew what kind of physical monsters were lurking. Silent Hill, while cool, didn't hit the vore buttons that I wanted -- or so I thought. Turns out there ARE monsters in Silent Hill that would love a meal.
"After Harry Mason's adopted daughter, Heather, goes missing, he and Cybil Bennett, a strong-willed police officer living right next door to Silent Hill, embark on a search for the young girl. But what Cybil discovers in her search of an abandoned prison is so much worse than she could have envisioned. The only trace of Heather that remains is her vest, and the only living thing Cybil crosses paths with is a gluttonous Split Worm."
